This on-demand course is for school-based BCBAs interested in establishing, improving, and sustaining equitable behavior support systems and processes to serve school districts. In this CEU, we use the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts to guide participants through conceptualizing a team, developing an intake process, providing assessment and implementation support, and closing cases.
Learning Objectives:
Assess need for behavior analytic services from multiple stakeholders
Define service model and process based on resources and scope of competence
Use the BACB Ethics Code to guide service model development
Obtain informed consent and service agreements from all parties
Define roles and responsibilities
Allocate resources equitably
Collaborate with other district supports
This course is 100 minutes and provides 2 CEUs, in the form of 1.5 Ethics CEUs and 0.5 Learning CEUs.

This CEU introduces school-based BCBAs to the evidence-based coaching framework, Practice-Based Coaching (PBC). PBC is a non-hierarchical, cyclical coaching process that prioritizes building trust, earning buy-in and engaging in collaboration to systematically support implementation of evidence-based practices in schools. Participants will learn the step-by-step process for using PBC with teachers, paraeducators, and other school-based providers.
A case example will highlight the use of PBC to coach general education teachers to use Class-wide FIT, a Tier 1 group contingency.

Describe components of Practice-Based Coaching
Differentiate between training and coaching
Identify research-based practices for earning trust and buy-in from stakeholders
Involve stakeholders in intervention planning and implementation
Use assessment data to inform individualized coaching
Conduct focused observations to measure fidelity
Identify components of effective performance feedback
Develop coaching fading criteria to promote maintenance of educator implementation
